Experience the enchanting Valley Of Flowers National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms one of the two core zones (the other being the Nanda Devi National Park) of the Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve. Best time to visit is between July - August.
Spanning 87 sq KMS, this enchanting sanctuary is a floral paradise boasting over 600 species, including orchids, poppies, primulas, marigolds, daisies, and anemones. Immerse yourself in sub-alpine forests of birch and rhododendrons, accompanied by cascading waterfalls and streams. The valley is also home to rare wildlife such as the snow
leopard, Himalayan Monal, gray langur, flying squirrel, Himalayan weasel, black bear, red fox, and lime butterfly.
Wake up early, grab some breakfast and a hot beverage before you begin your trek.
Traverse the park's picturesque trails. Bridges, glaciers, and waterfalls punctuate the journey, offering a breathtaking backdrop for your exploration. Every few steps reveal a new variety of flowers, their kaleidoscope of colors captivating your gaze. You can't help but wonder who meticulously arranged this living tapestry and what mysterious forces shaped it's ever-changing variety.
There is a stream too that flows all the way through the valley. Take off your shoes and dip your feet into it before bidding farewell to this mesmerizing realm and descending
back to Ghangaria. Have dinner early and sleep.
